The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble is a 65 member band that is composed of members from the lower third of New Jersey.  It is more than a community band because its members come from many communities in Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean, Burlington and Camden Counties.  They are professional musicians, teachers, Professors and college trained adults.  SJAWE has played almost 100 concerts as it starts its 16th year, including 3 performances at the NJMEA Conference, Longwood Gardens, the Ocean City Music Pier, The Richard Stockton College PAC, the OceanFirst Theater at the STAC, the Hess Educational Complex, among others.  The members donate their services and the band is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
